I ordered this on a Monday Morning and it was at my house on Thursday afternoon in Syracuse NY! It is brand new and was shipped in excellent condition. The engine is a few years old and appears to be a surplus or spare engine left over from when these were being used on the John Deere 1130se. The specs are as indicated on the website. The picture on the item listing is of a different engine, but I could tell that before I ordered it. It is a big beefy engine at a low low price. I am half way through installing it on a 40 year old John Deere 726 snowblower. The original engine was 7 Hp, but some doofus installed a 5hp Snow King at some time in the recent past. This new engine will be more like 10 to 11 hp. I anticipate throwing deep snow with ease. The 5hp was bogging down with anything thicker than 3 to 4 inches of snow. The packing materials were sturdy and although the outer carton arrived with a tear at the fold line of one of the top flaps, the engine was free from harm. It looks like it just came off the assembly line, not 3 or 4 years old like it actually is. (added by SES on 11/21/15) If using on JD 1130se you may need to transfer 9 amp alternator & voltage regulator from old engine
